How to qualify for discount
As soon as you are registered with Herbalife as a distributor, you qualify for 25% discount.
We recommend that if you just want a discount and do not wish to sell products, this is the best level for you.
You can join as a Herbalife distributor and purchase directly from Herbalife UK at a 25% - 50% discount.
There is an annual renewal fee for distributors of approx £7, this is for Herbalife to keep track of who is still genuinely wishing to be a member.
Once your application has been received by Herbalife, you should be registered within 2 weeks.
If you join Herbalife in order to sell the products and make a profit, you must register with the inland revenue within the first 3 months to avoid a fine.
Discount Level explained
Each Herbalife product has a "Volume point rating" and basically the more volume points you order in one month, the more discount you will get.
The next step up from a basic distributor is "Senior Consultant" where there is a sliding scale for discount between 30% and 42%.
Below is the official Herbalife "Senior Consultant" discount sliding scale. (Correct at February 2007).
- 0-424 Volume points = 30% discount
- 425-549 Volume points = 35% discount
- 550-799 Volume points = 38% discount
- 800-999 Volume points = 40% discount
- 1000-1999 Volume points = 41% discount
- 2000-4000 Volume points = 42% discount
To qualify for the sliding scale, all you need to do (once you are a registered distributor), is place a single order for 400 volume points or more.
So if you place an order for 400 volume points, you will get a 30% discount.
An example order to achieve this would be to order the following in one single order:-
- 4 x Formula 1 Meal replacement shake
- 4 x Formula 2 Multi-vitamin tablets
- 4 x Protein powder
- 4 x Herbal beverage 100g
- 1 x LiftOff
Total vol = 403.15 Vol
Total cost =£309.93 (February 2007)
Place a single order for 700 Volume points and get 38% discount
Place a single order for 2500 Volume points and get 42% discount.
If you place a single order for 1000 volume points you will become a "Success Builder" and get 42% discount on subsequent orders.
Business Opportunity - Qualifying as Supervisor for maximum discount (50% + up to 15% Royalty)
The next step up from senior consultant is "Supervisor" and is the best way if you wish to sell the products and make a profit, earn commission and qualify for Herbalife events and awards.
There are two ways to qualify as a "Supervisor"
- 1 month qualification - Buy 4000 Volume points cost approx £2000 - 2,500)
- 2 month qualification - Buy 2500 Volume points for 2 consecutive months running (total approx £3000)
Once qualified as a supervisor, you can buy at 50% discount for a year, then you must requalify again for the next year as above.
You can recruit other people into your organisation & train them using the business tools available from Herbalife.
You will have the potential to earn 15% Royalty commission, 7% Production bonus and 1 % annual bonus.
Here is an example of the type of profit you could make (approx) :-
- 20 customers buy an average of 125 Volume points of products in 1 month.
- The cost to you would be £1536
- Your profit would be £1164
- Your monthly volume would be 2500 volume points.
- If this occured for just 2 consecutive months, you requalify automatically for 50% discount next year.
If you are outgoing, open minded, good at communicating, motivated, fed up with working for someone else, have tried the products and achieved a good result and believe in the products, the Herbalife business opportunity could be for you.
